Newell Tuition began as family run business over 10 years ago and has since expanded to become the number one provider of tuition for the grammar school entrance exams in Trafford.
The Newell Way
Maths
11+ Maths often includes material that is at a higher level to that covered in year 5 at school. A good grounding in maths is needed before tackling 11+ material.
English
Mainly consisting of comprehension and vocabularly, some schools will test this as English whereas others (using the CEM style exam) will call it Verbal Reasoning.
Non-Verbal Reasoning
Non Verbal reasoning is based around shapes and puzzle like questions designed to test cognitive abilities and logical processing. We specialise in this area.
Verbal Reasoning
Verbal reasoning varies on different exams, some will be code based questions whilst others will be in the CEM style (also known as Durham University style). We can help with both!
